We take the things other industries throw away, starting with the modest coffee bean, and shape them into simple, useful pieces.

Every Gréin piece that passes from our artisans' hands to yours is made from a resource that has already lived one life. We think it can live its second one as part of yours.

What We Save, Saves Us

Used to be someone's coffee

The world drinks over two billion cups of coffee a day. Most of the grounds go to landfill, where they release methane as they break down. We put them back to work.

Brewed coffee grounds are generally discarded
But we collect these by-products of coffee
These are filtered and mixed with other composite materials
This innovative raw material is then moulded into new shapes
And finally, arrives at your breakfast table

The result is a biocomposite of spent coffee grounds and biodegradable resin. At the end of its life it breaks down into CO₂, water and biomass.
